We bring a wealth of operating company experience. We know some companies may not have sufficient internal expertise: our role is to defend their interests, as an interface between them and those wishing to sell services or operate their assets.
Oil and Gas companies who lack expert level internal capabilities or who would like to have an expert-level peer review conducted of their Reservoir Management practices.
State Oil and Gas companies who want a trusted interface on large reservoir studies or other services, conducted by a third party, such as a “big-name” petrotechnical consulting firm or by a major service company.
We have no interest in selling other services, and are here to provide an unbiased expert opinion
Oil and Gas companies with a developing workforce who are seeking experienced mentors to guide and develop decision-making and technical skills in their workplace
With a combined 375 years of international experience in Oil and Gas Reservoir Management and associated technologies, we bring a unique depth of “Oilfield Wisdom” that can be a powerful asset to our clients. Most of our experience is with an international operating company and we provide expert level advice from that perspective. Our mission is to provide our clients high quality answers as efficiently as possible. We will not “stretch-out” a project to increase billing hours. We will act completely in our client’s best interest and provide honest and clear answers.
Michael J. Sullivan, CEO
Our company associates are all senior professionals with solid operator and service company experience. We will review existing operations and make recommendations, including “road-maps” for the path to success. If the work requirements for a project exceed our manpower ability or experience, we can help select the additional resources if needed and help steer those sources of services to ensure the job is done right.
We know the critical details that will make the difference between success and failure, both operationally and organizationally. We have extensive experience internationally working with national staff in emerging countries and the unique challenges posed in this environment.
We specialize in mid-life oilfields. We help understand subsurface connectivity, particularly water movement and potential for bypassed oil. We are highly experienced with acquisition and analysis of all types of subsurface diagnostics, and know how to use these diagnostics to calibrate a reservoir model to ensure it reflects reality.
We have extensive experience with a substantial list of petrotechnical software applications.
If software selection is part of your growth plan, we can help you make sure you get something that we know will work.
Our experts have proven track records of successful iField implementations and construction of user-friendly dashboards.
We know what works and what customers will use.
We do not sell software or profit from what we recommend.

Our careers at Chevron provided us with a common culture and foundation in high quality work processes.
Expert Petrophysicist and Petroleum Engineer; an Innovator with global experience as subsurface subject matter expert and team leader for large and complex well remediation and production projects. Big picture thinker, connecting the dots between Production Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Geology, Petrophysics, Geophysics, Well Remediation, Drilling & Completions.
Michael has a long history of innovation & problem solving in Reservoir Management specializing in problem well diagnosis and remediation. Well-known for uncovering key linkages undetected by large teams. Extensively published technical expert recognized for innovations in well diagnostics and remediation in operations worldwide.
Joachim graduated in geology from the University of Karlsruhe KIT, Germany, in 1993 and received his Ph.D. (doctorate, magna cum laude) from the Free University of Berlin, Germany, in 2000. He did a postgraduate fellowship from 2004-2006 at Harvard University with the Structural Geology and Earth Resources Group under Prof. Dr. John Shaw.
Dr. Mueller worked from 2006-2020 for Chevron Corporation most aspects of petroleum exploration and reservoir management. His expertise embraces a wide variety of petroleum basins worldwide. He worked most tectonic regimes and in most depositional settings from fluvio-lacustrine, deltaic, shallow-marine, deep marine, carbonate reef. He is a skilled mentor, a highly driven self-starter, and fascinated by new technologies.
Bodo received his Masters degree in Geology from the University of Bremen, Germany in 1993 prior to continuing with doctorate studies in the USA. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 1998.
Dr. Katz spent his 18 year career around the globe in leading earth-science roles in American and Australian International Oil Companies. His expertise in the integration of subsurface data was sought out on pivotal projects ranging from the largest LNG developments of Australia to reservoir management of major mature assets in Asia and Africa. He excelled as reservoir modeling advisor in company review teams, developed objective-driven modeling standards, and lead projects and teams through major field reviews and developments.
He enjoys mentoring and the integration of complex tasks in particular in dynamic, multicultural, multidisciplinary teams. He prides himself for being sought out by young earth-scientists as teacher and to be trusted by leaders to help make a difference.
John has 36 years of experience in a well-rounded career with positions in Drilling, Production Operations and a broad range of Production Engineering assignments as Field Engineer, Operations Supervisor, Staff Engineer Supervisor, Project Engineer, Reservoir Surveillance Coordinator, Artificial Lift Coordinator and PE Mentor.
John is experienced in sandstone and carbonates, high H2S fluids, deep HTHP reservoirs, onshore and offshore projects, subsea wells and flow assurance, waterfloods, WAG floods, sour gas miscible injection, artificial lift, acidizing and proppant fracturing, slickline and electric line operations, commissioning measurement equipment (multiphase meters, sand detection, automatic samplers), developing i-Field solutions, and mentoring staff engineers.
John is a subject matter expert in completions design and was based at Chevron’s Technical Center in Houston. His focus areas are sand management, sand control, sand screens, erosion, perforating, e-line and reservoir monitoring. He worked principally in the planning and design phases of projects for Chevron’s business and operating units. Understanding the objectives, building good working relationships and cohesive teams at the interfaces between completions, drilling, production, reservoir management and facilities engineering disciplines led to significant value-creation.
John started in the energy industry as a logging engineer in 1980 and has enjoyed many expatriate assignments in the US, Europe, Australia and the Middle East. He has a degree in Physics from Imperial College, London.
Peter is a highly experienced Senior Consultant with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and 38 years of domestic and international experience with a major international oil company. He is an expert in Reservoir Subsurface Modelling, Characterization, and Asset Development. He is known for his acumen with technical and business risk analysis, probability and statistical analysis, Geostatistical Modeling and integration of Reservoir Engineering, Geology, and Geophysics.
Vaitheeswaran has total 18+ years of experience in Quorum’s Energy Components -Hydrocarbon accounting suite Production & Transport module, Asset Information Management activities, Instrument Maintenance, Erection and commissioning of Instruments in Process Industries.
He led the team for Energy Components new deployment in Chevron and completed the deployment with zero bugs through regression testing.
Vaithee is specialized in the PI system-of-record and automated the system to get the data through PI tags. This effort saves considerable time over inputting the data manually in EC. Ravens are a legendary bird in Canada and across the northern hemisphere. They have unusually long lives and are renowned for their intelligence and flexibility. Their voices take many forms, from cell phone ring tones to bells. They figure prominently in aboriginal lore for their broad range, thinking ability and wisdom. As an avid hiker, I have always admired ravens for their adaptability and problem solving.
